Tawney & Brice celebrated their wedding with an outdoor ceremony at the grooms family home and reception at the Gateway by Childers, Peoria IL. We started the day at Brices family home, where the couple chose to get ready. Off the back of their beautiful home, was a large stone patio with lush floral flanking a walkway, to manicured grass, and their ceremony altar. Dark walnut chairs awaited family & friends, and lush floral from Garden of Grace Florals , framed their altar.
A favorite moment from the beginning of the day, was the Couples reveal. Immediately following seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day, they shared handwritten letters. Tawney’s reaction was unforgettable! She was surprised by Brices tiny handwriting AND how lengthy it was. We all giggled and it was the perfect moment to capture authentic emotion.
They exchanged vows under mature trees surrounded by their closest family & friends. Afterwards, we took advantage of the family’s beautiful home and property for all of their photos. Being able to have most of the day take place in one location, allowed the Couple to relax and enjoy what mattered most. They gathered their family & friends on the stone patio, where they toasted the Newlyweds with champagne. Then we were off to the Gateway by Childers, on the riverfront downtown Peoria IL.
The Gateway by Childers was dressed in muted florals and candlelight. The Couple choose a local popular band to keep their guests on the dance floor. Special effects lighting added to the ambience and made for an epic party!
