We started our day with Jenny at her parent’s beautiful home on her wedding day. It was a beautiful morning of preparing for the day, followed by several first looks/reveals for the bride and her loved ones. It was so important to Jenny to have these moments with her bridesmaids, her dad and her brothers. Jenny has 3 brothers, and the reveal with them was something I will always remember! Each one having a different reaction all at once was such a fun moment to experience. They are a very close family, and it showed!
Hamish spent his morning with his groomsmen at the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette, Peoria IL. He arrived at Jenny’s family home, and had a reveal with his sister, who was in the bridal party. It was a heartfelt moment and gave the Groom his moment with family. I loved the Couple’s reveal! They truly only saw each other in that moment, even with myself, and Heather photographing, and family & friends watching from a distance.
We took advantage of the property around their home for immediate Family photos, followed by wedding party photos and of course Bride and Groom photos. Their backyard overlooking the Peoria IL river valley, was the perfect backdrop, and personal. Getting all of these photos done prior to the ceremony, allowed the Newlyweds time to celebrate with F&F immediately after. The only portraits we did after the ceremony, were extended family, and Mr & Mrs.
The Couple celebrated their Catholic ceremony at Holy Family Parish Church. Because we did most of their photos pre ceremony, the Newlyweds joined family & friends at Kouri’s Pub Peoria IL, for a pre party – party, before heading to Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette.
Their reception was in the Marquette Ballroom, with a color palette of greens, ivory and caramel florals. Guests tables were dressed with candlelight and a mix of tall and shorter floral centerpieces. Soft ivory linens and gold Chiavari chairs set the tone for an elegant evening.
