Abbi & Casey chose Haven on the Farm in Peoria IL for both their Engagement session and their Wedding. The historic property sits on 10 acres, which provides ample spots for a variety of dreamy photos. They took advantage of the estate-like feel of the venue, which allowed them get ready on-site, and offer their guests plenty of space to explore and enjoy throughout the day.
One of the most meaningful parts of their wedding day was exchanging private vows, back to back (not actually seeing the other, but holding hands) in the piano room of Haven on the Farm’s Bridal house. This quiet moment allowed them to connect before the excitement of the day began and set the tone for everything that followed. They celebrated their official I Dos in the Barn surrounded by candlelight. One of my favorite moments from their ceremony, was after they were announced husband and wife. Casey swept Abbi off her feet and carried her up the aisle! The entire room cheered!
We strolled the property for Mr. & Mrs photos, while family and friends enjoyed cocktail hour on Haven’s infamous Lane. Also a sought after spot for photos, the tree lined lane is a feast for the eyes in every season.
To kick off their party, the Newlyweds were announced in, proceeded by their entire wedding party as a group. They held signs proclaiming the Newlyweds, and carried bubble guns, letting everyone know it was time to party!I loved this idea! It made their entrance so unique and true to who they are.
